Lots Of Outfits And Words

I haven't been blogging or posting outfits to Instagram but apparently the need to document daily outfits runs deep. There's some complicated (and not so complicated) reasons that I'm not taking the usual "bloggery" shots. You know, the ones where I pretend there's not a camera five feet away as I nonchalantly look away? Bottom line is there's just not enough time in the day! And for now that's okay.

There's also reasons why I'm not posting many outfits to my usual Instagram account. The attention to my weight started to get uncomfortable. I tried being open about my illness and it's effect on my body but unfortunately some saw the weight loss as aspirational and I started to get private messages. I am sad that I might have inadvertently been promoting my weight loss as desirable so for now I'm backing up a bit.

But I'm here! I love you guys, and I love fashion and I love typing random shit and talking about my outfits so yeah. Let's get out of the wah wah sad stuff and onto the fun!

Tee: Madewell (here) // Bag: vintage // Pants: vintage Liz Claiborne (check Etsy! OMG these. Actually there's a ton of great ones) // Shoes: Madewell (here)

So first off, apparently I'm incapable of holding a phone still unless I'm looking directly at it. I promise that I'm not that in love with myself. Of course I take a bajillion photos of myself so you'll just have to believe me. :)

It's an outfit stack of Madewell and vintage! Andrew absolutely hates these pants so he's been rewarded with having to see me in them a few days in a row. I love that man.

I have been looking for a good pair of pleated pants and the second I spotted these hanging on the rack my pulse quickened and I knew they were the ones.

Sweatshirt: vintage (check Etsy! This one is good) // Tee: Madewell (here) // Jeans: Levi's (here) // Boots: Zara (if you're ready for a square toe revival here)

Andrew also doesn't like this sweatshirt but I'm fairly confident he'd rather see me in it for a year straight rather than me wear those vintage Liz Claibornes even one more time. Haha!

I was definitely feeling the 80's vibe here down to the red boots.

Coat: vintage Bonnie Cashin (check Etsy!) // Dress: Madewell (similar here) // Jeans: Acne Studios (similar here) // Shoes: Madewell (in blue here)

I haven't worn this coat in such a long time! It's been such a blog staple for at least 5, 6 years? and then I went a whole winter without wearing it even once. Well I fixed that.

Dress: thrifted vintage // Tee: H&M (here) // Jeans: Acne Studios (similar here) // Shoes: Madewell (in blue here)

Well I'm sure trying to cram in as many wears out of these shoes as I can before the weather gets too cold. Actually that whole sentence should be in past tense. We have reached the too cold tipping point already and all wears have been crammed in for this season.

I tried really hard to find a similar dress but my usual keyword ninja skills were failing me. It's a maxi dress with pajama-ish details. Seems like something not-so-hard to hunt down but apparently it's just not that easy! Someone should stop me from buying this one though.

Tee: J.Crew (here) // Overalls: AE // Purse: Theory (in velvet here) // Shoes: Veja (here)

I called this look "toddler pilgrim". I absolutely love this shirt. Loooooove. Don't even care if it's a flash-in-the-pan trend, I will be wearing it years from now.

Sweater: Madewell (this year's version here) // Tee: Madewell (here) // Pants: thrifted J.Crew (similar here) // Boots: Toyshop (here) // Tote: Uniqlo x J.W.Anderson (here)

I thrifted these velvet skinny jeans last week and ohmygosh. I'm trying not to bring too much into the house (I'm focusing on the reduce in reduce, reuse, recycle) but it's taking every fiber of my being not to hunt down every pair in my size on Poshmark and buy every single one of them. They fit like they were made for me.

And the tote! I couldn't resist a puffer tote up here in Alaska.

Jacket: H&M (similar here) // Tee: J.Crew (similar here) // Skirt: Madewell (here) // Tights: No Nonsense (here) // Scarf: Gucci (similar here) // Boots: Topshop (here)

I already yammered about these tights on Instagram and I'm going to do it here as well. These have a yoga waistband so there's no pinching, squeezing, or rolling. I am NOT a fan of tights normally. Like, I have to be majorly motivated to wear something to torment myself with them. But these are like wearing feety yoga pants! I can handle that.
