With no sign of baby making an appearance anytime soon, last Friday my husband took me to my 41-week appointment and then to lunch.
I woke up that night at with strong contractions, but they were nowhere near regular. Still, after a few of them there was something that made me decide we needed to go to the hospital right then. Good thing because we barely made it in time. I'm very grateful that I listened to my instincts as the cord was wrapped around baby's neck twice. Labor and delivery was only about 2 hours from beginning to end so any delay to the hospital could have been disastrous.
Lucky for us, Kit Amelia Anne is here, healthy and snuggly as can be:
My heart is so full.

Beautiful!!!! Congrats Momma! Love the name too!
Congratulations, what a cute little bundle. That is the scariest thing - the cord wrapped around her neck, so Smart you listened to your instincts. Yikes.
