Back To Basics

I had all my outfits for the work week planned out in advance, but then this morning when I went to put one on they all of a sudden seemed too fussy and overworked. I just grabbed some old simple favorites and ta-da! Much better.

thrifted sweater, skirt, and clutch
Miu Miu pumps

Linked to High On Thrifting Thursdays, because well. . . I'm Jenn, and I'm a thriftaholic.

I love when it works out like that! I've had a few mornings like that myself recently as well! Love that pretty watercolored floral skirt!

this is why i never plan outfits. my mood is a day-to-day thing and i can never be sure if i will like something tomorrow that i like today! i love you simple, yet elegant outfit!

This outfit turn out fantastic for the lack of planning involved :) Outfits always seem better when they're just thrown on!

The instinct in our gut always trumps the complicated ideas in our head. I love these shoes.

This is also why I am a disaster at meal planning. I love that skirt. The colors and print are great.

Oh, those pumps! They somehow tie in the top & the skirt perfectly together.

With shoes like those, they're best featured with basic and favourite items!

Love the sweater and the skirt together, that grounding colour contrasts with the sweet skirt.
