Remember when I said that I was going to wear something ca-razy to work after my coworker remarked on my fur vest? Well this is it:
And then it turned out to be said coworker's day off so. . . a little anti-climactic. Maybe that's why I never got around to posting these pics.
Surprisingly, everyone else I worked with that day loved it. It even makes a fun soft jingly sound as I move. How festive of me, right? Although it made one sergeant a little jumpy, seeing the shimmer and movement out of the corner of his eyes. You want an uneasy feeling? Have one of your coworkers - one that wears a gunbelt with a tazer - keep whipping around to stare suspiciously at your shirt.
Coincidentally, today is Sequins + Sparkles day over at Everybody, Everywear. I think I shot past a little sparkle and shine and straight into Vegas Elvis territory, but I'm excited to participate - it's been a long time! Check out everyone else here:
Thrifted shirt and purse
Gap turtleneck (I'm really pushing the theory that a turtleneck makes everything work-appropriate)
F21 jeans
Sam Edelman booties

You had me at sequin. Sometimes I want to dress like Liza Minneli and wear nothing but a beaded tunic and tights with some kind of kicky hat. JAZZ HANDS!

WOWZA!! That's amazing. So funny that the person you wore it for wasn't even there! You look fab.
Thanks for your comment about the belt and my explanation. I completely understood what you were saying. I really appreciated it alot!

Wow, you have such interesting taste. This top is so dramatic. I'm enjoying seeing your outfits.
That is one awesome top!
love your turtleneck theory.
you are too funny (have i told you that already??) ;).
I love that! It's brilliant. I would really like to know where you're doing all this thrifting. I'm beginning to think Capitol Hill is tapped out of awesome...unless it's poly-60s-smelly yet mildly fab. I need your list of stores stat.
Oh gosh, don't get yourself shot or tazed! But since you came out unscathed, it was totally worth it! That top is EPIC!

love the 2nd to last picture :)
I LOVE this. I love sequins and I feel like now I have the courage to break out a couple sequin tops I recently thrifted and wear them even if it's just to work.
Also, love the red lips. Perfect!
You would make Elvis blush dear... Go Jenn! I admire you a lot crazy girl! Kisses :)
Awww boo! That is anti-climatic, I would have made it a point to sashay about if said coworker was present. I love that vintage top, so unique and freaking awesome! :)

Next stop Las Vegas....love it! Love how you toned it down a bit with the jeans. Good thing the guy with the tazer did not have an itchy trigger finger!
I love that top! I hope you wear it again, maybe your coworker will finally see the amazingness that is that top.

Love the top! It has such amazing detail but seriously, how annoying that the coworker wasn't there! Love the simple, dark wash jeans too :)

That shirt is completely amazing, Jenn! Did you seriously find it on our side of the water? I don't see too many sequins when I thrift. :) Major find!
