Whew Part II

Is there anything sadder yet still cute as a baby in a hospital gown?
So apparently talking about how busy you've been and that things are returning to normal tempts fate and you end up spending the day in Mary Bridge Children's Hospital emergency room.

Panda Bear has had a low fever for a couple days but yesterday she was too weak to sit up or crawl. In one particular heartbreaking episode while I was getting Miss Monks dressed to leave, Panda Bear collapsed on her belly and could only move her eyes up toward me. When I rushed over to pick her up she was limp as a noodle. Scary.

I managed to drive normally to the ER. (In my job we come across drivers rushing people to the hospital and driving dangerously to do so. Unless you're in a marked emergency vehicle with a trained driver it's incredibly stupid and unfortunately a lot of them get into accidents - which doesn't help their poor passenger out one bit). I felt like throwing up the entire time and I obsessively kept reaching back to touch her.

After a bunch of tests the doctor is pretty sure it's a bad bladder infection. I'm not happy she's in pain but I am happy it's relatively easy to treat. Today she seems in lot better spirits and has more energy already.

And because this is supposed to be a fashion blog here's my outfit photo. Don't worry this wasn't from ER visit day - I'm not crazy. I had to take it at work a few days ago since I was spending so much time there. Tres institutional chic background, no?

thrifted sweater, AE tank, Moorea Seal necklace, F21 pants, Jeffrey Campbell shoes

Oh my goodness, my heart just skipped a beat while reading about her collapsing to the floor. You know I've got a little one the same age, so I can tell you that I'd be absolutely TERRIFIED. Oh my. I don't know how you managed to keep it together. I'm so *SO* glad she's okay and starting to feel better. Poor baby. And poor momma!

Oh my, I hate that feeling when you know something is wrong and they're too little to give you a clue to what it could be. I'm glad to hear that your little one will be o.k., and that the infection is easy to treat.
Since you put up an outfit pic. I feel the need to tell you that I adore the chevron necklace and red pants. Super cute.

So, so scary. I'm incredibly glad that your little is okay!!

And as a side note, can I please steal your outfit (I guess it's not officially stealing if I'm asking politely...)? I love it.

Take care,
Katie

b. I love your pants. Love.
c. A friend of mine is a Dr. at Marybridge - shoot me a note if anything comes up and I could always reach out - he's a GI surgeon, but also has daily patients, I believe.

Hope she's okay - just darling in that mini-gown. So scary for you!!

Yikes, Jenn! I hope Panda Bear gets better soon. Bladder infections are no fun for adults let alone tiny people. Mary Bridge is a good hospital so she's in good hands. I could totally picture you reaching back to keep touching her as you drove. I think every mama reading this has a sad face right now.

p.s. - the first pic is so precious...

Oh my gosh! That sounds utterly terrifying. I'm so glad that it's something easily treatable but it's still so sad that she's in pain. Poor baby!

You do look adorable though! I have to point that out! :)

so glad Panda Bear is ok. It is just so scary when your babies get sick and are so helpless.
On a happier note I am loving the way you are rocking those red pants!

You look more pulled together on your worst day than I am looking on my best days. I'm so glad the little one is OK! How scary!

Poor babe! I am glad it is something easily treatable. Even a cold is stressful as a Mom, cannot even imagine a rush to the ER :(

Whew indeed. Not the same but my oldest son who has epilepsy, he had his first seizure when he was all of 5 months old. There was nothing scarier than seeing my tiny baby boy convulsing in the floor and feeling so helpless. Baby in a hospital gown PLUS an IV stand is very, very sad! Hope baby gets better soon!

I feel weird commenting on your FANTASTIC outfit (see what I did there?) in light of the frightening experience you just shared. So glad things have/will work out okay, but I can't even imagine how scary that must have been for you!

Oh my goodness, that is quite scary. Having done a few ER drives in the middle of the night know how scared one gets. So glad the baby is OK.

That outfit by the way is so cute. I think that unique necklace totally makes it.

Your post made me tear up a bit, but you finish it off with a great, cheerful outfit! Also, you have rockin' body, you know that, right?

awe lades, i read the 1st whew post and omg what a crazy schedule you had going on, thank goodness you'll be back to the regularly scheduled programming now. 60 hours, etc. is a killer for sure.

then reading the latest report had my stomach in twists for you, what a thing to go through. i truly can't imagine the anguish of not knowing the why's or being able to immediately transport into an ER. the drive must have been brutal & i'm sorry you had to go through all that on top of everything else.

sure glad to know it's okay now and wish you many blessings with relaxed weekend times too.

your outfit is awesome, it's something i would totally wear and the Moorea Seal necklace is epic! ♥

Oh, wow. How scary for you, and I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I've been there (not the same, but other similar scary situations) and it's completely nerve-wracking.

But I'm happy to know that she's okay, and doing much better. And I love those pants too =).
